HEIC → JPG
Drop a pile of iPhone HEIC photos. We'll convert them to JPG, PNG or WebP right here in your browser. Nothing leaves your device.
How do I convert HEIC to JPG?
Drop any number of HEIC files onto the box above (or tap it on your phone to pick from your camera roll). Each file is decoded locally in your browser using libheif compiled to WebAssembly, then re-encoded as JPG, PNG or WebP at the quality you pick. No upload step, no progress bar for "sending to server" — just your CPU.
Why do iPhones save photos as HEIC?
HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) gives photos that are roughly half the size of the equivalent JPG with no visible quality loss. Great for Apple devices. Not great for Windows, Android, older CMSes, or the friend you're trying to share a vacation album with.
Does this upload my photos?
No. The receipt card on this page reads your browser's resource timing API live. If this page makes a network request back to us while converting, that counter ticks up. Try it yourself with DevTools open.
